JEANNI stands for:
Jesus Army News Networking and Information.

The self-styled Jesus Army is an Evangelical/Charismatic religous movement ("Christian") incorporating the New Creation Christian Community, where the members live in communal households and share their income in a 'common purse' arrangement.
Many people, especially in the Midlands, will recognise them by their colourful combat-style uniforms and equally garish double-decker buses. These double decker buses are used by Jesus Army zealots to roam the country in search of converts
Over many years, this site has been a facility for anyone wanting to find out a bit more about them from the perspective of an ex-member who has kept track of what they have been up to and how they have changed!

The JEANNI has been let out of the bottle again

Even though I effectively closed this site down over eighteen months ago, I have still had regular correspondence from people in need of help - both existing members and ex-members. Several emails that I have recently received have persuaded me that I cannot just ignore their plea for help.

Noel Stanton, the former leader of this cult, died in the early summer of 2009. In order to make reparation for all those who suffered (and are still suffering) as a direct consequence of what he preached, I am hoping to collect some of the stories from those who have been deeply hurt and let the wider world know about the agonies that many have had to deal with.
More details will follow soon, but if YOU want others to know about the pain that you've suffered, then please let me know (complete anonymity is guaranteed, although I am hoping there will be SOME who are willing to speak out publicly!)

An article appeared in the local newspaper following Stanton's death, and the comments appended to it were mainly eulogistic. I wrote my own obituary to Stanton and sent it to the newspaper. I don't know if it was published, but if you would like to read it then I have provided a link.
My obituary to Noel Stanton

With kindest regards to one and all!
